Banner section 9

Hellooooo!!!!!  Using this months colour theme over at Tando I am continuing with my banner.  I only have a few sections to go now and its looking lovely and bright!  Here is this months piece...
The colours this month are lovely!  Pretty oranges with some lovely grey/blues thrown in...
To start I painted the banner with the darkest colour and then went over with crackle glaze.  When that was dry I added some white antiquing cream, wiped some of it off when dry and dabbed some of the blue over the top. The pretty leaves are set in a flourish and I used two.  They were painted with the oranges and the lilac using a fine brush.  Then I went over them with some clear glittery paint.

Beach scene

This week  Tando are highlighting 3D kits.  If you look around the website you will find there are a lot of them with varying themes......something for everyone!  But I also wanted to highlight Tando's workshops so the kit I have chosen to use is one that Di sometimes uses in her workshops so sadly it is not on general sale.  But it does give you an idea of the quality of Di's workshops.  Plus they are very chilled and full of laughter!!!
I live in Cornwall and the coast is a big part of my life....little cottages perched on rocks, smugglers caves and yellow sand! I ignore the seagulls hahaha.

So if you fancy having a lovely day out with like minded people look out for a workshop near you!

Moroccan Cupboard

Hellooooo!  Today I have a 3D project using Kate Crane's Ministry of Mixology (April2017) dividers and a host of other Tando bit and pieces.  When I was doing Kate's class in April I could see straight away that they could be shelves so I have made a little cupboard!

and open...

I used:

Kate Crane's MOM Divided Box
Moroccan Grid
Lace Effect Border
A Key from the Mini Keys pack
Plain Chipboard Sheets for doors
DecoArt Mixed Media Paints : Quinacridone Voilet, Cadmium Orange Hue & Quinacridone Gold
DecoArt Weathered Wood
DecoArt Tinting Base

There will be a tutorial available so watch this space.

Banner section 8

Hi there!  Carrying on with Tando's new colour theme, which is very pretty, I have done another section of my banner.  It's a bit tricky to photograph as I have added silver paint to it.

This time I have added some butterflies.  Here are the colours we were asked to use... they are very delicate this time...

The Man's card

Today I have a mans card for you.  There is no chipboard involved but I used the stamps and stencils that Tando Creative sell...

Lightly dry brush some Quinacridone Gold over the Kraft Card and when that is dry do the same with Cobalt Turquoise and a little Primary Magenta.  When dry overstamp with Nathalie Kalbach's MARKS stamp in Archival Black.  Dab some white acrylic through the Mini Mask Numbers as shown.
Stamp the eye from Andy Skinners Curiosity stamp set using Archival black and colour in (I used the same colours as before but watered down)  Cut out and attach to the centre of the base using a sticky pad.  Dry brush some white acrylic around the outside.  Attach the panel to a white card base.
Thank you for taking a look today, take care, Karen x

Song Title Callenge - July

Its July and its the summer!!!  So the song title for the challenge over at the Craft Barn this month is

"Summer Holiday" by Cliff Richard

Here is my coaster...

I have used some Tando Creative ice creams :-D which was interesting as when I did them it was freezing cold haha!

So what's your favourite ice-cream? Mine has to be Cornish vanilla with a blob of Cornish clotted cream and a flake...very naughty!

Take care xxx

Banner section 7

Hellooooo!!!!!  A new month means another colour scheme from Tando.   I am, of course, adding to my banner and have decorated another pennant. Because last months was quite bold I have used the softer tones of the range this time...

Just look at these lovely summery colours....

I attached some bits and pieces to my pennant before painting it using a light touch.  I added some painted stars for a bit of detail.

Thank you for taking a look today, take care, Karen xxx
